Volunteer at Longhua Temple

Since 2018, I have been actively serving as a volunteer at Longhua Temple in Shanghai, one of the city’s most historic and culturally significant Buddhist temples. Over the years, I have participated in various Dharma assemblies, offering my time and service to support both the temple and its community.

My regular commitments include volunteering during the Avatamsaka Sutra Assembly in the winter holidays, the Ullambana Festival in the summer, the Water and Land Dharma Assembly during Qingming Festival, and the Buddha Bathing Festival in April. Whenever these events coincide with weekends or public holidays, I dedicate my free time to assisting with preparations, guiding visitors, and ensuring smooth event operations.

Serving at Longhua Temple has been more than a volunteer role—it has been a journey of mindfulness, compassion, and community engagement. Each Dharma assembly has deepened my understanding of Chinese spiritual traditions and taught me the value of humility and patience. Through this experience, I have strengthened my connection to Buddhist values while finding joy in contributing selflessly to the well-being of others.
